Dr. Wayne C. Anderson
Dr. Wayne Anderson attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and UNC Dental School where he graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1964. Prior to entering private practice, he served two years in the US Army. Dr. Anderson is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, Onslow County Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and Loblolly Dental Study Club.
Born in Wilmington, North Carolina, Dr. Anderson is married with two children and five grandchildren. He enjoys boating, fishing, golfing, and following UNC Tar Heel sports.
Dr. James B. Slack
Dr. James Slack earned his undergraduate degree from Eastern Carolina University. He then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Dental School where he graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1967. He is a member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, Onslow County Dental Society, and Monte Miska Dental Study Club of Eastern North Carolina.
Dr. Slack is happily married with two children.
Dr. Rhonda H. Norris
A native of Swansboro, North Carolina, Dr. Rhonda Norris attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her undergraduate degree, and went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the UNC School of Dentistry, graduating in 1983. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the Onslow County Dental Society.
Dr. Norris and her husband have a son in college and a daughter who is married. Her family continues to grow with the additions of two wonderful grandchildren. Dr. Norris is an enthusiastic Tar Heel sports fan, always ready for the next sport season. She is also involved in church activities.
Dr. Doris Black
Dr. Doris Black attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1981. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, Coastal Carolina Dental Society, and the Onslow County Dental Society.
Dr. Black is a retired instructor from Coastal Carolina Community College and was a high school math instructor from 1971 to 1977. Her interests include fishing, diving, and traveling.
Dr. John Lauten
Dr. Lauten grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina. He completed his undergraduate and dental school education at the University of North Carolina culminating in a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1975. He was in civilian dental practice for 14 years in West End, North Carolina and Baltimore, Maryland between two active duty assignments in the Navy. He rejoined the Navy in 1991 here at Camp Lejeune. He received his MS degree in TMD and Orofacial Pain from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 1998. His past memberships include the American Academy of Orofacial Pain and the American Dental Association, and he is currently a member of the Coastal Carolina Dental Society.
Dr. Lauten retired as Captain from the U.S. Navy Dental Corps after 22 years of active service. After which he worked as a general dentist for the Second Dental Battalion, Camp Lejeune for an additional year.
Dr. Lauten and his wife Sylvia have been married for 24 years and they have two children. He is a hospice volunteer and has served five dental missions to Honduras. He enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, and Tar Heel sports.
Dr. Craig Brown
Dr. Brown brings a highly qualified combination of experience, knowledge, and compassion to our dental offices. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 2001. He began exploring different opportunities in order to discover where he might best focus his talents and skills. Then, in March of 2009, he began volunteering his time and talents at North Carolina Missions of Mercy (NCMOM), a portable free dental outreach program of the North Carolina Dental Society. As he dedicated his time and efforts, his work qualified him to work as the clinic operations manager. These opportunities changed him in a profound way as he found his true calling in life.
His desires and compassion for the well-being of others led him to complete his prerequisites at NC State University prior to entering into the East Carolina Dental School of Medicine in August of 2012. Dr. Brown received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in May 2016.
Dr. Brown is married with two children. He enjoys spending time with his family and activities involving the outdoors.
