friendly staff
This place has the happiest and friendliest staff. I feel so welcomed everytime I visit. I have been going to see them since I was five and I love that they remember me after all these years.

Years of Satisfaction
I was first refered to Anderson and Slack in February 1996. I took my children there and was very surprized at how painless thier visit was. The staff was very friendly and made us feel very comfortable. We have departed the area several time and always returned to Anderson and Slack for our dental care.

I've always been able to count on you
Every time I have had a dental emergency or concern (thi s last being a crown popping off)I have been seen really quickly and had the problem addressed in an efficient and very friendly manner.

Love going to the dentist
I Absolutely love going to the dentist here.. They help you learn how to better take care of your teeth and they have Awesome personalities! I have never gone there and had anything to complain about. I recommend this dentist office to all my friends.

Great office
If you are looking for a dentist Anderson and Slack office is outstanding. They have several dentist who work in the practice and also have late night hours a couple times during the week. The whole office is a very pleasant experience.

As a retired Marine I fully understand that it is my choice as to where I get my Dental work done and I have been to several different places over the years. We all know that no one likes to go to the Dentist, however we understand that it is one of those things that has to be done. Everytime I have been to your facility I have had a nice visit. Everyone from the Ladies in the front office to the Techs in the back conducting themselves very professional. Everyone there is always Warm, Kind, Friendly and Thoughful. I really appreciate the way you all do business and the fact that you go the extra distance to ensure that the customer is taken care of! I have trouble with the polishing part of a dental checkup and the new method does not work for me either. This dentist office listened to my needs and polished my teeth a few sections at a time instead of the new or usual way teeth are polished. They really try to help you feel comfortable.

I have been to many dentist in 27 years but none near as good as Anderson and Slack! They made my visit comfortable and I didn't have to wait either. I was hardly finished my paperwork and they called in for my appointment. I was receiving my crown even though it had been long road getting the root canal at the endontist, they made the visit go quickly. They set me up with a treatment plan to complete the rest of my work and let me know the price up front; didn't keep anything a secret. Overall if you are looking for a good dentsit, please try them! You won't be disappointed!!

I was an out of town visitor and had pain and swelling in my jaw. My home town dentist recommended that I see someone asap. Having "dentist phobia", I hesitated, but knew it was a necessity. I called Anderson/Slack and was greeted with a soothing, caring voice. They agreed to see me that afternoon. My experience was outstanding. From the time I arrived to the time I left, the care and professionalism was evident with each person I came in contact with. They even sent the plan of action to my hometown dentist. It was such a relief to receive such prompt attention and care!

Not only did I get an email confirming and reminding me of my appointment, I also got a call! Both were appreciated because it's so easy to forget appointments when you make them in advance. I love the feature on their website where new patients can print out the paperwork needed to bring with them! Very handy! I didn't have to wait at all in the waiting room and everyone was VERY nice. The technician and the dentist I saw both took their time and didn't rush me through, but rather explained everything thoroughly to make sure I understood clearly. I hate going to the dentist, but they make it pleasant!

this place is the best family dentist office in the jacksonville area. i was refered here by a friend after i had an awfull experence at another dentist office in the area. i have been bringing my 5 year old boy/girl twins here since they were 3 and going to the dentist has never ever been an ordeal. as a matter of fact my son just had to get a cavity filled and they did such a good job he didnt even know that he was getting a shot!!! they just put his tooth to "sleep" and even gave him an extra shot when he said that he could feel it a little and still he didnt know they once again gave him another shot! i love this place and have recomended them to an adult friend of mine who was terrified of dentists and she loves it here too.

A large filling came out of my tooth and I called your office to have it looked at. I got an appointment for the next morning, which was perfect. I was about 15 minutes late, it was busy at work and I almost fogot! I was still allowed to come right in and was seen almost as soon as I got there. I was very satisfied with the whole experience.

I brought my son here for his first dental cleaning and they did a great job with him. The hygenist was very nice and she explained everything she was going to do before she did it and was very gentle. He even got to watch mickey mouse on tv while she did it. Couldn't be happier!

"I had a molar break on Friday at 3:00, closing time. I called at 3:10, and the worker answered the phone after hours, and scheduled me for an emergency work in visit for the next day at tje Jax clinic, which was open on Saturdays. She also took the time, late on a Friday afternoon, to send my records over to Jax. At the Jax office, they were wonderful to me and I felt no pain. I have been difficult to numb in the past, but my dentist was gentle, accurate, and fast. The hygienist was obviously skilled and more than capable at all the parts of her job. They were wonderful."

"I have suffered for about 15 years with retainers and different partials with artificial teeth due to lack of finances. My baby teeth had grwon in wrong and had weakened the rrots fo two of my teeth. "I was first introduced to Dr. Rhonda Norris at Anderson & Slack several years ago. I was in an emergency situation with a broken tooth. It was early afternoon that I called their office & they saw me in a couple of hours. They worked me right in & took care of my tooth that day. I went to Dr. Norris for the next several years until I moved away. I could not find another dentist that I was as comfortable with as Dr. Norris. However, I did go to another dentist due to being away from Dr. Norris. Needless to say, my teeth found out the hard way as well. Today, after not having been to Dr. Norris since 2005, I am having problems again. I called the office a few days ago with another emergency situation. It was 2:39 P.M. when I was speaking to the receptionist & explaining my situation. She asked me could I be there at 3:00 P.M. I explained that I could not be there then; however, I thought I could make it at 3:30 P.M. She told me that would be fine, just get there as quickly as possible so that they could work me on in. I arrived at like 3:25 P.M. & I was in the chair by 3:35 P.M. That is what I call service & taking care of your patients. I would recommend Dr. Norris to anyone & everyone. She is very understanding because I told her upfront that I did not like dentists; but, I liked her. She is extremely gentle & tries her very best not to hurt you. Afterall, who likes going to the dentist? I don't think any of us do. But, I feel less stress & am not as uptight knowing that I am going to see Dr. Norris instead of some of these other dentists that are around. As well, my proposed treatment plan was rather costly. They will work out a payment plan with you as well. I called another dentist prior to calling Dr. Norris again & they simply said, "you are required to pay the amount in full at the time of your visit". They didn't offer any type of payment plan, to work with me in any way, they offered zero help to me. And, they also said it would be 3 days before they could see me. Overall, Dr. Norris & Anderson & Slack should be your dentist if you're looking for caring, gentle, understanding people. They have an office in Jacksonville NC & Swansboro NC to better serve you. It is my recommendation that you call them today if you're looking for a good dentist that will take care of you when you need it."

"I had a cracked molar (#30) and I called Anderson and Slack about 12:30 in the afternoon. They looked at their work load and was able to get me in within 30 minutes. Now that is AWESOME to me. They did a look abd then set up an appointment to get the tooth extracted. After I get it pulled, I will DEFINITELY make Anderson and Slack our family dentist. You are AWESOME."

Every time I call for an appointment I am treated as if I am a new client with courtesy and professionalism. I have NEVER had to wait for my appointment more than a few days at ABSOLUTE MOST (due to my schedule as well), fees are explained upfront and there are NO hidden costs, and staff is highly trained and shows exemplary management of time and skills. "As 33 year old woman, that was petrified of the dentist because of past experience, I was treated so well and with such kid gloves, that I can't wait for my next check up. My babies, who are 3 and 4 went to their first appointments there as well and haven't stopped talking about the lady that gave them bubble gum (bubble gum flavored fluoride). They did so well because of how comfortable they made them feel. I am ecstatic at having found this dental facility and will continue to use them as long as I live in Jacksonville. "I took my 3 year old daughter here for her first dental exam and cleaning. I wasn't sure how she would do since she had never had her teeth cleaned before. The hygienist was amazing and was great with her. She gave all the dental tools funny nicknames, and even checked her teddy bear's teeth. My daughter had a great experience and loved getting her teeth cleaned. They definitely exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend this office to my friends."

"I have been a patient with Dr. Anderson/Slack since I was an adolescent. I briefly changed to another dentist when I got married and moved, but quickly returned to Dr. Anderson when the level of care was not acceptable with the new dentist office during a time when I had a dental emergency. Dr. Anderson's office took me back in and made my issue a priority. I have never been dissatisfied with any treatment, costs, or customer service. I would recommend this office to anyone."

"Upon entering the office I was greeted cheerfully and made to feel at ease. I got a magazine from the rack and was searching for an article to read. Before I could get started I was called in to begin my appointment. Julie went to work immediately doing x-rays and the routine. She is very efficient, courteous and friendly. The entire staff is determined to see that I get the best of care while in their office. I recommend them to anyone needing their services."

"I went to this office because I was in a lot of pain with my tooth. They gave me the same day appointment even though this is my first time ever going there. I am proud to say I was in and out within 30 min to an hr. They are very respectful, friendly and very informant about any questions you may have. It was a really great experiment. Now I just found out, they have an online access to view which is more the reason I will stick with this dentist office. I am very pleased. "Going to the dentist is not at the top of the fun list for anyone. However, this office was delightful from the moment I called for my first appointment. I was recently pregnant and had to cancel a bunch of appointments due to morning sickness. They worked with me and we finally were able to get an appointment when I was feeling a little better. Furthermore, during my cleaning, my hygienist was very caring and frequently checked in with me to see how I was doing. In addition, I was given the option to have the regular polishing as opposed to the baking soda treatment to help with my nausea. Finally, though I was not aware at the time, the staff pointed out that I would be able to receive an extra cleaning since I was pregnant and that my insurance would pay for it. Overall, it was a relaxing, informative experience. Thank you."
